Note: This section provides a collection of case studies and examples of patients that were scanned with RTA version 4.50.

Although there have been technical improvements to the RTA imaging capability since these patients were scanned, such as improved image resolution, the cases and examples provided here demonstrate the RTA's ability to cover a range of retinal as well as Optic Nerve Head diseases, to detect subtle changes and display them through various representations; 2D Thickness maps, color fundus images, optical cross sections, 3D Anatomy Images cut sections, rim/cup area maps, RNFL cross section charts, deviation probability maps and more.

AMD - Soft Confluent Drusen
A 75 year old woman on routine examination: visual acuity 20/xx in the right eye and 20/xx in the left. Biomicroscopic examination of the anterior chamber was significant for mild nuclear sclerosis. Dilated fundus examination revealed confluent soft drusen. Read more...

AMD - Choroidal Neovascularization

Glaucoma

A 61 year old male had intra-ocular pressure of 17mmHg in the right eye and 21 mmHg in the left. Anterior segment and dilated fundus exams were normal except for disc asymmetry, with vertical cup disc ratio of 0.3 and 0.6 in the right and left eyes respectively. Read more...
